Tournaments
We offer our students the opportunity to compete in tournaments as a member of the Ultimate Martial Arts and Fitness Team. Our competition team works together as a unit, by coaching and encouraging each other and by sharing in each other’s growth and success. Our students understand that the ultimate champion is the one who approaches the competition challenge with respect, humility and determination.
Our Students
Our students on the UMAF team competed for the first time at the Grand Champions International Cup on November 17, 2013. Though it was the first competition tournament for our students, they faced seasoned competitors including state and national champions. Our students proudly brought home 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Nytkl
The NYTKL is a non-profit organization, that brings together dojo’s throughout the New York Metropolitan area, to standardize karate tournament’s. The league also helps the youth of karate in providing scholarships for school and tournament travel for international competition.
To enable this to happen there are people and teams all across the Metropolitan area pushing this common vision. All this requires time, investment and and the dedication of our dojo members, and sponsors.
